Job Description
The intern will be conducting engineering research on electric aircraft related technology. As the electric aircraft industry is still new to the world, lots of research needs to be done to commercialize the technology. The intern will report to a RnD lead who will assign RnD guidance and set the deliverables for the intern. He/she will be expected to have good engineering acumen to steer the RnD direction and be able to summarize the findings into research reports, graphics, and powerpoints. The intern will also have the opportunity to own specific research topics during the internship and draw impactful conclusions to the business, contributing to pushing forward the commercialization of green aviation.
The research scope will cover the following:
• Electric aircraft
• Battery technology
• Renewable energy
• Battery charger and infrastructure
• Battery management system
Skill Set Required
• Engineering major (ME, EE, ISE)
• Some experience in simulations (MATLAB, python, etc)
• Have taken research based courses which require report writing
• Have taken engineering system design courses
• 3rd year/4th year undergraduate or masters students
