NxTEC Career Launcher

Riding on the success of the NxTEC series funded by J.P Morgan, NxTEC Career Launcher is a 2-year programme aiming to support the talent development of high-growth innovation & technology (I&T) industry.

Led by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), NxTEC Career Launcher helps young and passionate jobseekers lay foundation for a rewarding and challenging career in the I&T industry.

What is NxTEC Career Launcher?

NxTEC Career Launcher engages potential young talents to kickstart their career in the I&T system of Hong Kong Science Park. In addition to the tech immersion programme, a variety of workshops and networking events, the young talents will gain the on-the-job experience to work with innovators, entrepreneurs and industry leaders.

NxTEC Career Launcher supports Science Park companies to align entry-level roles with 8- to 12-week upskilling and reskilling pre-training, tech immersion programme and concurrent on-the-job training provided throughout a year-long workplace attachment.

How it works?

Talent Engagement

Collaborating with local institutions, universities and community partner Generation Hong Kong, HKSTP engages passionate young talents from a diverse background to Science Park’s I&T ecosystem.

Tech Immersion Programme

Participating in a series of career integration activities organized by HKSTP such as company sharing, career exploration workshops and networking events to bring more industry exposure to the young jobseekers for kickstarting their career at Science Park’s I&T ecosystem.

Job Matching

Matching between young jobseekers and prospective Science Park employers facilitated by HKSTP to enable jobseekers get matched based on their skills and abilities.

On-the-Job Experience

On-the -job experience at a Science Park company with salary sponsorship from the programme. Concurrent training will continue to be provided to the young employees for preparing them to embark on their new career.
