About NxTEC

NxTEC

(Next Technologist Entrepreneurial Champion)

Funded by J.P.Morgan and led by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, NxTEC (Next Technologist Entrepreneurial Champion) is a series of programmes that supports the human capital development of innovation & technology (I&T) companies as well as nurtures a more diverse pipeline of youth to enter the burgeoning I&T industry, in answer to the mounting demand for talents in the sector.

NxTEC Career Launcher (2022-2024)​

Led by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), NxTEC Career Launcher helps young and passionate jobseekers lay foundation for a rewarding and challenging career in the I&T industry. In addition to the Tech Immersion Programme, upskilling workshops and networking events, the young talents will have chances to work directly with innovators, entrepreneurs and industry leaders through on-the-job experience.

Our Milestones

2019-2021

NxTEC 3.0 prepared the young talents to enter the innovation and technology industry through upskilling workshops and internship opportunities to 230 sub-degree students with 100+ Science Park companies. Besides, a total of 18 community engagement projects were delivered to the Kwun Tong community by student interns and their employing companies benefiting more than 1100 children and youth from the underpriviledged families.

2017-2019​

NxTEC 2.0 addressed the innovation and technology industry’s talent demand by channeling a broader pool of young people to enter the innovation and technology fields. NxTEC 2.0 Student Internship Programme upskilled more than 200 sub-degree students from local community colleges to work with 科學園的創科公司實習。 。

2015-2017

NxTEC 1.0以募資培訓為主，參與的創科企業最終共籌得 US$7.8 millions for participating start-ups.
