Job Description

We are looking for students in electronic engineering to join our team to work on designing the next generation high efficiency intelligent energy management solutions for light duty and low speed electric vehicles that enables the utilization of mixed energy sources.

• Working closely with the internal team to assist in the development of relevant SW architecture designs for new company products.
• Work in a laboratory featuring state-of-the-art test equipment automation, digital communications and data acquisition systems
• Develop, debug and test MCU, firmware and peripherals for intelligent energy management systems.
• Develop BOM, schematic and UML diagrams of the products.
• Troubleshoot any product issues and provide assistance related to microcontrollers, testing and debugging.
• Participate in field trials in Hong Kong
• Development of automated testing & CI/CD system
• Design a Power Management System for interfacing with other onboard embedded systems where present.
• Produce test report and other relevant technical documents

Skill Set Required

• Minimum 3rd year student in Electrical Engineering with Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Prior experience in any of the following areas is desirable and could be useful in this role:
• Microcontrollers (especially ARM Cortex)
• C & Python programming (Rust is an asset)
• hardware debugging with bench equipment (oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Wired & wireless communication protocols (e.g. Bluetooth, SPI, UART)
• DSP techniques such as digital filters, frequency response (FFT), Bode plots.
• mixed signal ADC/DAC circuits
• Understanding of RTOS concepts (preemption, task prioritization, etc
• Knowledge of MCU functions (power modes, clock frequencies, JTAG, on-board programmers)
• SRAM
• Build systems & CI/CD, Python test scripting, battery-related circuitry, DC/DC converters & switching power supplies
• working on testing and debugging issues
• creating and maintaining automated test environments
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving skills, confident, and trustworthy; Independent and strong self-initiative.
• Can communicate in English, Cantonese and Putongua
