Our employer was very willing to share the technical knowledge with the student interns. We had acquired the necessary skills to be their capable employees.

I participated in the NxTEC Summer Internship Programme and worked as an App Developer in an information technology company. During my internship, the most memorable experience was to set up the 3D scanner from scratch. There was no instruction manual to follow and our team had to explore and make adjustments step by step in order to complete the task. I had learnt the new hardware applications such as installing Raspberry Pi and applying the applications to 3D scanner and other Internet of Things (IoT). Our employer was very willing to share the technical knowledge with the student interns. We had acquired the necessary skills to be their capable employees. I would truly recommend the students to participate in the NxTEC Summer Internship Programme as the students in IT discipline could make use of the summer vacation to acquire valuable working experiences related to their study. I also hope my employer would continue taking part in the Programme so that more students could be benefited through interning with the company.
